The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “I seek refuge in Thee (God) …from a woman who makes me old too fast…” referring to a woman with bad behavior toward her husband.
So it can be said that in marriage, it is important that the couple are of the same status in ideological, social, cultural and other areas.
One of the issues that causes lack of peace in marriage is having a secret wedding. That is why in Hadiths, holding an open wedding has been emphasized and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said hold weddings in mosques and take some individuals as witnesses.
Another issue that prevents peace in marriage is when the man and woman hide some of their physical flaws or their habits. That is why it is important for both sides not to conceal them.
Islam wants sexual relationship between man and woman to be legitimate so that peace will prevail in life.
Verse 5 of Surah Al-Mai’dah underlines the significance of maintaining chastity and avoid fornication or lustful relations outside of marriage.
Osho, who promoted false beliefs and whose ideas have followers in today’s world said nations should no more exist and the way to do it is destroying families and that marriage is the root cause of problems.
Such ideas lead the human society toward annihilation. They have followers because they spread promiscuity whereas Islam has underlined legal, easy and open marriage.
