IQNA – A host of female Muslim scholars and activists hailed Palestinian women for their role in boosting resistance against Israeli regime.

The meeting of the female scholars entitled "The Educational Role of Women in Strengthening Unity and Resistance" was held on Thursday on the sidelines of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.

Prominent Muslim scholars and activists from Iran, Indonesia, Algeria, the USA, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, France, Bahrain, Mexico, Peru, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Turkey, Yemen, Brazil and India, attended the event.

"We, Muslim women from around the world, with diverse nationalities, languages, and madhhabs, emphasize the necessity of Muslim unity and the effort to achieve a unified Islamic community," they said in a statement.

"We believe that if we remain determined in our unity and avoid falling into the traps of divisive conspiracies, the path of resistance can lead to ultimate victory," reads the statement.

"We, Muslim women, alongside the struggles of our brothers in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, honor the unparalleled resistance of Palestinian women," it added.

"We deeply believe that the brave men fighting against the occupation regime have been raised by mothers and courageous women who have not bowed to force and aggression and have taught their children the lessons of dignity and steadfastness and have generously dedicated their lives to this sacred cause," according to the statement.

Now that the world witnesses the indomitable resistance of the oppressed Palestinian nation, the role of women who stand shoulder to shoulder with their men and children against the most brutal war crimes is truly and justly commendable.
