Iraq's Al-Ameed Int’l Quran Recitation Award Draws Participants from 53 Countries

IQNA –  Quran reciters from 53 countries will participate in the second edition of the Al-Ameed International Quran Recitation Award, an organizer said.

 

Mushtaq Al-Ali, head of the Holy Quran Scientific Association affiliated with Hazrat Abbas (AS) shrine, highlighted the significant response to the competition, stating, "The second edition of the Al-Ameed International Award has witnessed wide participation, reflecting the esteemed position of the Holy Quran in the hearts of Muslims worldwide."

Al-Ali explained that registration for the competition lasted for 15 days, during which the organizing committee received hundreds of submissions meeting specific standards.

He added, "Participants from 53 countries will compete in this international Quranic event, and the preliminary evaluation committee has begun reviewing the submitted entries."

The names of the finalists will be announced on January 15, 2025, featuring 30 participants in the adult category and 10 participants in the youth category.

This competition is one of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine's initiatives aimed at promoting Quranic culture as a steadfast path to individual and societal prosperity.
