IQNA – Algeria’s ministry of religious affairs and Awqaf said the activities of the country’s 27th National Quran Week will start on Monday, September 15 in Boumerdes province.

Algeria’s ministry of religious affairs and Awqaf said the activities of the country’s 27th National Quran Week will start on Monday, September 15 in Boumerdes province.

 

According to the news site radioalgerie.dz, the Quranic event is being held under the patronage of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and within the framework of the celebrations marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The activities and programs of this year’s national Quran week are organized with the slogan “From the pulpits of our mosques, the solidarity of our homeland takes root”.

The programs include national Quran competitions in 6 categories.

The provincial stage of the competitions in various categories, except for Quranic recitation, was held from July 1 to August 7, 2025.

The national Quran week will also include a national scientific gathering titled “Social Cohesion and National Solidarity in the Light of Quranic Values”.

The gathering will be held with the presence of sheikhs of the Zawiyyah (traditional schools of Quranic education), scholars, and imams from across the country.
