Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa is the area between the tomb of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his pulpit inside the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced this, adding that the number of Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina during the current Hijri month exceeded 13,029,000.
At the Grand Mosque, the number of visitors totaled 4,197,055, including 22,786 who prayed at Hijr Ismail (Al-Hateem). The number of Umrah pilgrims reached 2,887,516.
The authority also reported that the Prophet’s Mosque received 1,790,885 visitors, including 355,532 who prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah. Meanwhile, 478,403 visitors offered greetings to the Prophet (peace be upon him).

The authority noted that it employs advanced technology, including sensor readers, at the main entrances of both mosques to monitor the number of visitors and pilgrims. The system enhances operational efficiency by tracking crowd flows and supporting authorities in managing them, as part of its partnership with relevant entities.
