The exhibition was inaugurated in the Center for Manuscript Copies in the capital Sana’a earlier this week, the 26 September newspaper reported.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture Abdullah Awbl said Yemen has the largest collection of Quran manuscripts and that preserving this treasure requires great effort.
He referred to Turkey’s cooperation with his country in cultural areas and said the establishment of the exhibition was a result of these collaborations.
Deputy Culture Minister Muqbil Al-Ahmadi said the works showcased in the exhibition will be frequently updated.
He added that the expo will also host seminars and programs for researchers and scholars to exchange ideas and experiences about Islamic heritage.
