According to IQNA’s ICRO chapter, the exhibit kicked off on September 13 in a ceremony attended by Ghorban Seyfi, Iranian ambassador, Kazakh officials from ministries of foreign affairs and culture, as well as a number of the country’s parliament members.
The exhibition features 21 artworks in the fields of Mushabbak (An Iranian handicraft made of small pieces of different woods with different patterns and colour) and Mo’arraq (pieces of metal neatly put together and decorated) by Parviz Nazari, 24 calligraphy works in Nasta’liq and Shekaste Nasta’liq by Mollayi, 29 illumination and miniature works by Rahim Charkhi and 13 Quranic tableaus from the Astan-e Quds Razavi Museum.
Also on display is a collection of Quran translations in different languages as well as Quranic calligraphy books and calligraphy albums by contemporary Iranian artists.
The exhibition will run until September 23.
