Delivering a speech at the Bajrakli Mosque in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, on Friday, he said Islam is a religion of peace and emphasizes religious coexistence.

He added that Islam invites people to moral virtues and values, Youm7 website reported.

Allam referred to verse 208 of Surah Al-Baqarah “Believers, all of you, enter the peace,” and said one of these values is peace.

He added that Islam seeks to establish peace, cooperation and coexistence among all humans.

That is why the Quran says the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a mercy for all humanity, he went on to say, referring to Verse 107 of Surah Al-Anbya, “(Muhammad), We have sent you for no other reason but to be a mercy for mankind.”
