In a message, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili described Sinwar as a hero, a good leader and a worthy soldier.
He prayed for divine blessing for Sinwar to lead the Palestinian resistance and bring about major victory for Palestine.
Sinwar replaced Ismail Haniyeh after the latter was assassinated late last month.
Sinwar is a Palestinian military commander who joined Hamas’ Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades at the beginning of its foundation in the Gaza Strip.
He has been known for his role in Commando operations against the Israeli regime and is now on the regime’s wanted list.
He was sentenced to four terms of life imprisonment by an Israeli regime court in 1989 but was released in a prisoner swap in 2011.
