Ashraf al-Jadi was killed on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike on a school sheltering refugees in the Nuseirat camp, the Arabi 21 news site reported.
Al-Jadi was a distinguished academic and a specialist in public health in the Gaza Strip.
In addition to his teaching roles, he served as a reviewer and evaluator of health research for several Arab and international universities and collaborated on research reviews with international journals.
In addition to his medical career, al-Jadi was an accomplished Quran memorizer in Gaza.
Before the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, he participated in the regional Safwat al-Huffaz (Elite of the Quran Memorization) program.

Among his other Quranic achievements, al-Jadi earned an official recitation license and received certifications from several prominent Gaza qaris.
Social media users have shared images of al-Jadi participating in the Safwat al-Huffaz program, which took place approximately two months before the start of Israeli war on Gaza in October last year.
