Lebanon’s Hezbollah Denounces US Aggression on Venezuela
In a statement on Saturday, Hezbollah called the attack a gross and unprecedented violation of international law, Al-Manar reported.
The statement emphasized that the movement condemns the terrorist and bullying aggression of the United States of America against the Republic of Venezuela and the targeting of its capital Caracas, vital, civilian and residential facilities, and the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, which is a clear and unprecedented violation of the national sovereignty of an independent country, international law and UN conventions under false and false pretexts.
The statement said this US aggression is a new confirmation of the hegemonic, arrogant and bandit approach that the US government is implementing without any regard for global stability and security and in line with consolidating the law of the jungle, in order to destroy the remnants of the structure of the global system and empty it of any content that could be a guarantee for nations and countries.
Hezbollah added that the US, which continues to harbor the madness of domination and hegemony, especially with its current president, continues its aggressive policies based on the surrender of free countries and nations, plundering their wealth and capabilities, and leading wars aimed at changing the plans of countries, and falsely claims to spread peace in the world and support democracy and the freedom of nations to determine their own destiny.
“However, its true criminal face has been revealed everywhere, from Afghanistan to Iraq, Yemen, Iran, and the creation of terrorism by the US and the support of its puppet - Israel - as a partner in its criminal, aggressive and colonial behavior. While the international community, instead of rising up and sounding the alarm and opposing these aggressions and bullying by the US, has turned to shameful silence. Today’s aggression against Venezuela is a clear threat to every independent sovereign country that does not accept US domination and surrender to it.”

The statement also said that Hezbollah declares its full solidarity with the nation, presidency and government of Venezuela to confront these aggressions and bullying by the United States, which will of course be defeated against the will of the free Venezuelan people; a nation that has opposed all forms of hegemony and colonialism in its land and has always supported the just and oppressed issues around the world, including the Palestinian issue.
Hezbollah further called on all countries, governments, nations and free groups in the world to condemn these aggressions and stand by Venezuela and its people and support this country’s right to defend its sovereignty and independence.
