The ceremony was held at the Eram Hotel’s conference hall on Tuesday evening.
It was attended by a number of Quranic and religious figures and officials, including Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi.
Mohammad Reza Jafarpour, Mohammad Javad Assadi Majd, Ahmad Barzegar, Mohammad Mehdi Hajizdeh, Reza Shaabani, Rasoul Bakhshi, Hamid Reza Nasirifar, Amir Hossein Landarani, and Ehsan Rahmani were named the top winners in different categories.
The competition had begun at the Eram Hotel on Friday, July 25, in two divisions for women and men.
In this round of the event, there were 118 contenders in the women’s section and 179 in the men’s section, competing in categories like Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts), memorization of 10 Juzes, Adhan (call to prayer) (for men only), and recitation of supplication.
The winners of this stage will advance to the national stage, which will be held in two stages: preliminary and final.
The western province of Kurdistan is planned to host the finals.
