The delegation’s meeting with Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb on Monday focused on new initiatives to digitally disseminate the Quran.
The delegation, led by the company’s CEO Tarek Makhloof, announced plans to feature Al-Azhar's official Quranic text (Mushaf) in a bilingual format. It will be available on the ‘Egypt Holy Quran’ application.
The partnership agreement was finalized between the firm and Al-Azhar’s Islamic Research Academy. The project aims to make the text accessible to a wider audience, particularly youth inside and outside Egypt.
During the meeting, al-Tayeb emphasized Al-Azhar’s historical role, saying it has striven throughout its history to disseminate the sciences of the Quran and the Arabic language.
He added that this effort “has turned it into a formidable scientific fortress sought by students from all over the world.”
He also stated Al-Azhar’s support for all projects serving the Quran. “Al-Azhar is ready to cooperate in producing media programs that help young people connect with the Book of God,” he said.
He further highlighted the challenges facing modern youth, saying that young people “urgently need to be made aware of all the challenges surrounding them.” This includes, he noted, “the dangers of deviant and alien ideas promoted under the title of freedom of belief and expression.”
