
Director General of the Quran, Etrat and Prayer Department of Iran’s Ministry of Education Mikael Bagheri announced this on Monday.
He noted that the contest is held every two years the ninth edition of this competition will be held in early 2026.
He said invitations for this year’s competition have been sent to various countries with the help of the Commission for the Development of International Quranic Activities.
According to Bagheri, Islamic countries have until the last week of December to send the names of their representatives to the competition secretariat in Tehran.
He added that the competition will be held in two stages, with the preliminary stage set to be held virtually and the finals slated to be organized in-person.

Contenders in the first stage can submit their works after verification to be evaluated by judges and the best ones will be invited to the in-person stage, he stated.
The final stage of the competition will take place in the month of Bahman (January- February 2026) in Iran.
