While tensions continue on Lebanon’s southern borders and discussions about resistance weapons have escalated, Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, one of the Hezbollah representatives, emphasized the continuation of the resistance option, rejected any retreat and emphasized the right to legitimate defense against Israeli aggression.
“Submission has no place in our dictionary, and if we are attacked, self-defense is our natural and legitimate right,” he stated during a political meeting held by Hezbollah’s public relations in the Bekaa region.
“Israel is seeking to destroy the resistance and disarm it by applying security, military and political pressure, but the resistance is still standing and is fully prepared to defend Lebanon and its interests.”
Referring to Lebanon’s current priorities, Hassan emphasized that the priority of the people, the army and the resistance is to stop the aggression, force the Israeli occupying forces to withdraw from Lebanese soil and release the prisoners, start the reconstruction process and then discuss a national defense strategy.

He added that Lebanon is committed to implementing UNSC Resolution 1701, while Israel has not only not been committed to this resolution, but has also violated the agreement to cease hostilities.
According to him, the continuation of this Israeli approach fully justifies the right to resist in defense.
The Hezbollah representative also emphasized the importance of holding the elections on time.
