At least 45 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, bringing the overall death toll since last year to 42,010, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reported.
A ministry statement added that some 97,720 others were injured in the ongoing assault.
“Israeli forces killed 45 people and injured 130 others in three massacres of families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said Israel, which continues to bombard Gaza and Lebanon, is a "Zionist terrorist organization."
"History will never forgive those who applaud the monster responsible for the blood of tens of thousands of Palestinian children, women, civilians," stated Erdogan while addressing the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party's meeting in Ankara.
The Turkish president warned Israel that its "promised land delusion" would ultimately lead to great disappointment.
He also called for increased regional dialogue, saying: “Considering the atmosphere in our region, we believe that we need to talk more, we need reconciliation."
Flouting a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire, the Israeli regime has continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
