The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday that their Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari had been murdered in Israeli airstrikes in August, alongside several companions and his 13-year-old son, Hussein.
In a message addressed to the new Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces Youssef Hassan al-Madani, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Pakpour emphasized the IRGC's full readiness to strengthen strategic ties with the Yemeni Armed Forces in confronting global arrogance and international Zionism.
Following is Major General Pakpour’s message:
Dear Brother General Youssef Hassan al-Madani
Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh
I offer my condolences to Yemen’s resistance nation, the families of the martyrs, the Yemeni Armed Forces, and the proud Islamic resistance front on the glorious martyrdom of the great commander of Islam, Major General Mohammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, former Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, and some of his loyal companions in an attack by the terrorist and ill-fated Zionist regime.
His enduring jihad in defending the honor and territorial integrity of Yemen and his victorious confrontation with the crimes of the Zionist enemy has left an enduring epic in the history of Yemeni fighters. Undoubtedly, the blessings of his wisdom and holy jihad will never be lost.
As you said with insight and strength in your first statement, these martyrdoms will make the determination of the heroic and proud Yemen more steadfast and resolute in confronting the sworn enemies of the Islamic Ummah and in continuing the path of struggle and defense of the oppressors and justice seekers of the world, especially the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, while renewing its commitment to the lofty ideals of the martyrs of the resistance and Al-Quds liberation front, declares its full readiness to strengthen faith-based and strategic ties with the Yemeni Armed Forces in confronting global arrogance and international Zionism.
