
Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Alireza Rashidian and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mohammad Tawfiq Al-Rabi’ah inked the agreement.
It was finalized during an official meeting between the two sides, which was also attended by a number of other Iranian officials.
They discussed ways to improve the quality of services to Hajj pilgrims, emphasizing the importance of facilitating administrative, service and welfare affairs.
Rashidian considered serving pilgrims of the House of God a shared success between stakeholders from the two countries and emphasized the need for systematic, transparent and coordinated planning for holding 2026 Hajj.
He stressed preserving the honor, dignity, and health of pilgrims, and said all the measures, programs, and ceremonies related to Iranian pilgrims will be the same as last year, which was approved by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, and it was decided to proceed in the same manner.
The Saudi minister, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Iranian delegation and hoped that through constructive cooperation, the ground will be provided for providing better services to pilgrims.
With the signing of this agreement, the implementation stages of planning Hajj 2026 for Iranian pilgrims will enter the operational phase.
