
The event, held at Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, marks the last round of the annual competition, which brings together participants from Qatar and abroad.
An international jury is assessing contestants to select the top five memorizers. The panel is chaired by Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Isa Al Masrawi, former head of the Egyptian Recitation Schools.
According to Peninsula Qatar, Other members include Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Bousso of Senegal, Sheikh Dr. Bilal Baroudi of Lebanon, Sheikh Muhammad Yahya Taher of Qatar, and Sheikh Fahd Ahmed Al Mohamad, representing the organizing committee.
A separate public contest for Qatari women is also being held at the Women’s Activity Center of the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance in Al Wab, overseen by a panel of female Quran specialists.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, five male contestants advanced in the citizens category.
Five residents qualified in the partial memorization track, while five others advanced in the full memorization track, representing countries including Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Bangladesh, the United States and Tunisia.

Saturday’s program featured partial memorizers in the morning and citizens in the evening, while finalists in the full memorization track are scheduled to compete on Sunday evening.
