Quranic Website Launched in Thailand
--The first specialized Quranic website was launched in Thailand by the Al-Rasul Azam Quranic Institute.
The website features Quranic news, articles on Quranic issues, interviews with top Thai Quran reciters and Quran activists, biographies of world’s leading Quran reciters, and speeches by prominent religious and Quranic figures. It also covers Quranic and religious activities in the country.
The website is to develop its Quranic programs and include other sections such as Quranic stories, Quranic contests and a special section for children and teenagers.
The Al-Rasul Azam Quranic Institute, which is affiliated to the Overseas Seminary Schools Organization, also plans to publish a Quranic journal titled “Message of Quran” in Thailand.
There are some three million Muslims in Thailand most of whom living in the south of the country.
