Nat'l Quran Contest Running in Tabriz

The 21st edition of Tabriz national Quran competition is underway in the province.
According to IQNA's correspondent in Eastern Azerbaijan, participants are competing with each other in various categories including memorization of the 30th Juz(part) of the Holy Quran, Quranic concepts, and recitation of the 30th part for under-16-year-old reciters.
The Quranic competition in Tabriz is aimed at propagation of the Quranic and Islamic culture in society.
Those willing to participate in the the competition can refer to the Hakamabad Grand Mosque as well as the Basij(volunteer forces) bases in Tabriz mosques and apply for the registration.
It should be added that the event has been mounted by the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Department in cooperation with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp(IRGC) in Eastern Azerbaijan.
The event kicked off on July 31 and will run through August 7, 2012.
