‘Arbaeen, Spirituality, Islamic Authority’ Int’l Conference: Call for Papers

IQNA – The international conference “Arbaeen, Spirituality, and Islamic Power” has announced a call for submitting papers.

It features three preliminary sessions and one main conference, which will be held with ISC approval.

The cities of Qom and Sari in Iran and Karbala will host the preliminary sessions.

The main conference is slated to take place on July 16.

Those willing to take part in the conference need to submit their papers via the website https://arbaeenconf.ir/fa/login by December 21.

The themes of the international event include the following topics: “Arbaeen and Knowledge-Based Spirituality”, “Arbaeen, Spirituality, and Wilayat (Guardianship)”, “Arbaeen, Hospitality, and Generosity”, “Arbaeen and the Experience of Spiritual Life”, “Arbaeen and Spiritual Theology”, “Arbaeen and Spiritual Power, “Arbaeen and the Soft Power of Islamic Resistance”, “Arbaeen, Unity, and Strength of the Islamic World”, “Arbaeen, Islamic Authority, and the Immortality of Ashura”, and “Arbaeen, the Power of the Islamic World, and International Networking”.

Arbaeen is a religious event observed by Shia Muslims on the fortieth day after the Day of Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the third Shia imam.

It is one of the largest annual pilgrimages in the world, with millions of Shia Muslims walking to Karbala from various cities in Iraq and neighboring countries.
